I am not ignoring you, blogspot. I started school back and I've been uber busy.

I'm still trying my best to get my 2 miles in. I really can only do it on Wed, Sat & Sun. So that's still 3 days a week. With the walking I am doing on campus now I am sure I am pulling about 1.5 everyday. So I am actually more active now.

Oh well. Ran again today with the Clay and Don. Got our 2.1 miles again, like everyday. Let's keep up the good work.

Tuesday // August 11, 2009

I missed yesterday. Forgive me, blogspot, will ya? I think I will ditch the whole 'what I ate today' thing.. I can't remember it all. Instead, I will just go back to posting me mileage and weight (Wednesdays). I did my 2 miles yesterday; I walked it all. Today I ran with Clay and Donovan, which really pushed me a lot. I didn't want to not be able to finish with them there to see it. Of course, I did the best of us 3. So since Sunday, I have logged over 6 miles. 2 miles a day doesn't seem like much, but it will help me in my overall fitness.

When I get paid on Friday I am going to buy a set of free weights. Probably no more than 5lbs.. just so I can use them in the cardio I've been doing.

So...

I have realized that I have a motivation issue. Not just in working out, but in general - life. I am trying hard to remedy this. I've kick-started my gut removal by running at least 3 miles a day. No questions asked. Just do it. (Thank you Nike) I bought some new running shoes because 992's are cutting it. I'm having ankle pain and shin-splints which succccck. I bought a pair of Nike Free Everyday 2 running shoes. I came home and did my 2 miles and my legs were not hurting at all. I ate a light dinner and did another mile. Still no pain. Good choice I reckon.

I will be posting here my daily mileage along with what I eat that day. Hopefully I can get the idea of instant gratification out of my head and work on the long haul.
