I am not ignoring you, blogspot. I started school back and I've been uber busy.

I'm still trying my best to get my 2 miles in. I really can only do it on Wed, Sat & Sun. So that's still 3 days a week. With the walking I am doing on campus now I am sure I am pulling about 1.5 everyday. So I am actually more active now.

I missed yesterday. Forgive me, blogspot, will ya? I think I will ditch the whole 'what I ate today' thing.. I can't remember it all. Instead, I will just go back to posting me mileage and weight (Wednesdays). I did my 2 miles yesterday; I walked it all. Today I ran with Clay and Donovan, which really pushed me a lot. I didn't want to not be able to finish with them there to see it. Of course, I did the best of us 3. So since Sunday, I have logged over 6 miles. 2 miles a day doesn't seem like much, but it will help me in my overall fitness.

When I get paid on Friday I am going to buy a set of free weights. Probably no more than 5lbs.. just so I can use them in the cardio I've been doing.

So...

I have realized that I have a motivation issue. Not just in working out, but in general - life. I am trying hard to remedy this. I've kick-started my gut removal by running at least 3 miles a day. No questions asked. Just do it. (Thank you Nike) I bought some new running shoes because 992's are cutting it. I'm having ankle pain and shin-splints which succccck. I bought a pair of Nike Free Everyday 2 running shoes. I came home and did my 2 miles and my legs were not hurting at all. I ate a light dinner and did another mile. Still no pain. Good choice I reckon.

I will be posting here my daily mileage along with what I eat that day. Hopefully I can get the idea of instant gratification out of my head and work on the long haul.

It's been 11 days since my last post. I have been the laziest person on the planet. 

I will go play frisbee every now and then. I did play basketball for about an hour and a half yesterday. 

I bought a WII! So that has kept me occupied this week. Maybe I can use it as a tool for exercise as well.

I haven't done anything. 196 today - 1 lb loss.

I need to get back to working out. I did play frisbee for an hour yesterday so that helps.

I've been working 7 am everyday this week.. so that has a lot to do with lack of running. It is extemely hot in the afternoons.

Haven't done anything the past two days.. I went to Pike's graduation yesterday and drank like a fish last night. I know that is about the worst thing i could have done but oh well - I had fun.

Today was Mother's Day so I went home and ate with the fam.. Right now I am waiting for the Orlando vs Boston game starts. Should be a good one.

I didn't get any running in today but I did have a shitty ass day at work. Oh well.. I will get my runz on 'morrow. I weighed in and I was 197, 195 last week. I've been slacking.. Plus I went a couple days off diet (before I could get groceries) But I am not making excuses. I will work twice as hard this week. 

Anywho, Plants vs Zombies is about the most fun in the world. Ahhh...

I didn't run yesterday roflz :(

I did this morning though.. Got my 2 miles in and bought some groceries. I think that has helped me too, buying things I know are healthy and really limiting myself to going out and spending $$ on crap food. I did drink 1/2 bottle of wine last night.. OH WELZ?! 

Weigh in is tomorrow, bring it on!

I haven't done anything today either.. I ate chic fil a at the mall and bought some more shorts. Still rocking the 36!! Hopefully by Summer I'll be back in my 34! I'm nervous about my weigh in thursday b/c I have been slacking this week. I need to find some non pavement routes. Oh well.. I KNOW I will run tomorrow. Might have to do some extra!

05/02/09

I've had early starts the past two days. I've had to be at work at 7AM so I didn't get any laps in yesterday. I did manage to do about 2.5 miles today.. really pushed myself hard.

Shin splints are back. I might have to see about getting new shoes! Ugh.. I spent a pretty penny on these new balances.. maybe its my high arches.. I don't think I hurt this much when I played soccer. Maybe some grass trails are in my near future.. hmm.

So... I weighed in this morning and it read 195!! I lost 3 lbs my first week. I was very surprised b/c I have not ran or done much of anything over the past two days. Hopefully I can get out of this laziness and get back on the track. I'll try to run when I get off today.

!! UPDATE !!

When I got off I felt super lousy (I ate a big lunch from zaxby's).. so I watched the Power Rangers movie with Clay. After that I went and ran my two miles. I did it in 22:31.. Basically 11m/mile. That's good progress considering it took me 30+ my first time. We also went and played soccer after Pike got off work for little over an hour. So I think today was the most I've done.. Going to keep it up!

The dreaded shin splints are here to stay so I didn't run yesterday.. Me and my buddies played frisbee for about and hour and a half. So.. I feel like I ran - my legs do too. 

I'm going to do my weigh ins on thursday mornings. I was 198 last thursday. Here's to hoping I've lost atleast 1 lb.

I got my 2 miles in today but my shin splints are killing me. I'm sure its the constant thudding on the pavement. I'll need to look up some stretches!

I ate like a pig last night so I was hoping to do extra today.. It might not happen due to these lovely shin splints. Maybe?

!UPDATE!

I did some stretches and my pain subsided. I ran another mile and threw frisbee for an hour. Hopefully I can get some good insoles..

I got up this AM and ran a new route. This one is a figure 8 style that is 1.1 miles.. I ran it twice for a total of 2.2 miles.

I've logged 4 miles today. Here's to hoping I keep this up.

A good use for this blog.

Since graduating highschool in 2005, I have put on a few pounds - 30 to be exact. So I'm going to use this blog as a tool to help with my weight loss. I've been saying I'm going to lose weight for the past few years but have done nothing to move myself in that direction. The time is now.

The plan:

180lbs by Summer! [Lose 20lbs by June 20, 2009]

I have roughly 2 months. I will keep posting here to show my progress and maybe some before/after pics (eww)!
